Out of the outstanding seasonal performance he's providing Atalanta, Colombian international forward Luis Fernando Muriel (30), according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, has been targeted by Barcelona FC. Already tracked by Inter Milan, former Sevilla FC, Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Udinese hitman, playing for La Dea since 2019/20, has allegedly been set a 35 million euros transfer fee upon.

Still on a deal with Bergamo-based club until June 2023, Muriel was purchased from Rojiblancos themselves on a 21.2 million euros transfer fee, almost two years ago by now. Though coming from a definitely underwhelming season back then, the South American hitman managed to climb his way to a previously unexperienced status, tossing his football-playing persona into A-list scorers' pit.

An item of interest, as it turns out, for both Antonio Conte and Ronald Koeman, Muriel, not equipped with a dual EU citizenship, is likely to be sold by Atalanta management, planning to make the most of it while they can, and keep Duvàn Zapata in instead. The player managed to keep up with an impressive scoring rate, throughout his Atalanta tenure, made of an overall amount of 86 caps and 45 goals (home and international cups included).
