Torino, Ilic Transfer to Zenit Falls Through: Agreement Between Clubs Collapses
The move of Ivan Ilic to Zenit St. Petersburg is at serious risk of collapsing. According to TMW, not only the final agreements on the fees to be paid to the player and his entourage fallen through, but also the agreements between the club has also collapsed. As a result, the trade has come to a halt, and it now seems highly unlikely that an agreement will be reached.
The initial agreement between the two clubs was set at €25 million plus €2.5 million in bonuses. However, in recent days, no payment guarantees have come from St. Petersburg for the transfer fee.

During the press conference introducing Paolo Vanoli as Torino's new head coach, club president Urbano Cairo addressed questions about Ilic, stating, "He is a talent, a great player. There is interest, but we consider Ilic as a player who will stay with us. It's not just Zenit, but if he stays, I will be happy."
Zenit’s Chairman of the Board, Medvedev, commented, "Will Ilic arrive? There are still 40 days left in the transfer window to answer that. Regarding the circulating rumours, I say they are not true. There are no factors other than sporting and financial ones. We talk about transfers when they happen."
