Olympique Marseille president Pablo Longoria has issued a rallying cry to fans and staff alike, urging unity in the face of mounting pressure - and making it clear there’ll be no scapegoats.

In a heartfelt statement posted across his social media channels, Longoria addressed the club’s current struggles and called on the entire OM community to focus on the immediate task ahead: beating Montpellier.

I’m not someone who usually speaks during times of tension,” Longoria began. “But this feels like the right time to do so, plainly and openly. We are not here to assign blame or fuel speculation. This club cannot and will not be built on division.”

Our objective is crystal clear: we need to win against Montpellier. We’re still in third place. Our fate remains in our own hands. It’s about moving forward step by step - nothing more, nothing less.”

The president didn’t shy away from acknowledging the frustration among the fans, especially after recent setbacks, including the disappointing display against Monaco.

I completely understand the anger and the frustration,” he added. “But what I saw in Monaco - our fans singing until the final whistle, despite the scoreline - reminded me of what it truly means to be part of OM. That kind of loyalty can’t be explained - it can only be respected.

Longoria was firm in his commitment to the club’s project and the people driving it:

I take full responsibility for the direction we’ve taken. I approach this with clarity, calmness and determination. I see players working hard every single day, a manager and coaching staff fully invested, and employees who keep this club going, often behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.

He closed the message with a call to arms - not just for the players on the pitch, but for everyone connected to the club:

I’m speaking up now because I truly believe in what we’re building. And because I know this team, this club, has the strength to bounce back - as it always has - together. We’ll need everyone: on the pitch, in the offices, and in the stands. And we’ll do it, without fear. With determination.
