TOP STORIES - Zlatan opens up on Lukaku battle: “He has a big ego.”
Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has given a lengthy interview to Corriere della Sera and he has talked about a host of things in his life and career.
One thing that he was asked about was his battles with Romelu Lukaku last season, when the Belgian was at Inter. A mural of them going heads on was also made outside the San Siro.
The Swede told Corriere della Sera: “He first quarreled with Romagnoli, then with Saelemaekers. I intervened to defend my teammates and Lukaku attacked me on a personal level. I was shocked because we were friends in Manchester.
“Lukaku has a big ego, he is convinced that he is a champion and that he is really strong. I grew up in a Malmo ghetto and when someone gets under my skin, I put them in their place. So I hit him where it hurts and he lost control.
“I hope to meet him soon. These things are resolved on the pitch. I don’t hate anyone, let alone Lukaku.”
