LIGA - Ronald Koeman sacked by Barca after losing to Rayo Vallecano

Ronald Koeman, Barcelona's coach, has left the club, after receiving the sack from the Club.
Koeman's last match in charge was a defeat to Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga on Wednesday, and he leaves the club after little over 13 months in charge.
“FC Barcelona has dismissed Ronald Koeman as coach of the first team tonight,” read the club statement. “The president of the club, Joan Laporta, has informed him after the defeat against Rayo Vallecano. Ronald Koeman will say goodbye to the squad this Thursday at the Ciudad Deportiva.”
“FC Barcelona wants to thank the services rendered to the entity and wishes him good luck in his career.”
In August 2020, Koeman took over at Camp Nou from Quique Setién, and in his first full season in charge, he led the Blaugrana to a disappointing third-place finish.
