Tottenham planning winter bid at McKennie
While having been inquired about by both Bayern Munich and Burnley as well, 23-year old U.S. American international box-to-box midfielder Weston McKennie is growing into more and more of a major target for Tottenham management. Fending for Juventus since 2020/21, former Schalke 04 playmaker, purchased by Serie A giants on an overall 31.5 million euros transfer fee, is going to be approached by Spurs and their newly appointed boss, Antonio Conte.
Still on a deal with Bianconeri until June 2025, McKennie might however end up staying put, though his feeling with his current manager, Massimiliano Allegri, doesn't seem the highest around. So far, he capped 150 times as a pro club player, scoring 13 goals therein. His netting rate is much higher national team-wise, with eight goals across 28 matches.
