PREMIER - Report: Salah wants salary similar to De Bruyne and Grealish
Journalist David Ornstein and Liverpool writer James Pearce addressed how much Salah would demand as part of his new deal on The Athletic's YouTube channel.
Salah and the club's agents were keeping their cards close to their chests in terms of the actual amounts, according to Pearce. According to sources close to the Egyptian, he wants a pay equal to those of Manchester City teammates Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish, which would place his earnings between £300,000 and £400,000.
Salah is the latest in a long line of Liverpool players whose contracts have been attempted to be renewed. Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Jordan Henderson have all signed new long-term contracts with the club, but Salah's expectations are a cut above the rest of the team.
